What is Colonic Hydrotherapy / Colonic Irrigation?

Colon Cleansing

A Colonic is an internal bath that helps cleanse the colon of toxins, gas, accumulated faecal matter, mucus deposits, bacteria and parasites. Poor bowel habits and unhealthy diets can lead to many chronic conditions.

Due to a number of factors such as stress, pollution, electro-magnetic influences, poor food and drink choices, certain drugs, smoking and exposure to toxic substances can affect our Immune Systems.

Colon Cleansing is the first step to recovery. Such techniques were first recorded since 1500 BC and have been used in traditional Naturopathic Medicine since that time.

What is involved?

Using disposable kits with gravitational filtered warm water, the procedure is very safe. The client's dignity is maintained throughout by use of a gown or towel. The first visit will involve taking a medical history of the client, and advice will be given as to diet, exercise, herbal detox to further cleanse the colon and more importantly replace the good bacteria. The treatment takes about 15-45 minutes.

How many treatments are required?

Depending on the diet, health, past and present history of IBS, constipation, usually 4-6 treatments are recommended. Advice will be given at the time as to the best amount for your own needs. Even a healthy individual should have their colon cleansed. Scotland holds the dubious honour of being the most constipated nation and has the highest bowel cancer rate in the world!

If you suffer any of these conditions, a colonic will help: Constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, allergies, bad breath, acid reflux, fatigue, headaches, acne, eczema, psoriasis, weight problems.

Clients usually say that they feel lighter, brighter, less bloated, with clearer skin, eyes sparkle, look younger, have increased energy with mental clarity and vitality after a treatment.
